William H. Walton Elementary is one of 33 elementary schools in the Jackson Public School District. Walton Elementary School exists to provide learning experiences for boys and girls in grades pre-K through 5th grade. The staff members of this great institution have a tremendous challenge and an awesome responsibility. We must use our talents and abilities to help our students become productive citizens.

Located in the heart of the Virden Addition community, ​Cade Courtyard Senior Apartments is a new 81-unit complex for seniors age 62+ comprised of 1 and 2 bedroom apartments.  The units are tastefully appointed with amenities like granite countertops, wood cabinets, appliances, washer/dryer and central air/heating.

The Cade Chapel– Nate Ruffin Scholarship Fund was established in 2003 in honor of the late Brother Nate Ruffin. We were blessed during the 1990’s to have Brother Ruffin, his wife Sharon, and their children join our church family while they were residents in Jackson. During that time, Brother Ruffin was employed as Human Resources Director for the Clarion Ledger and served as a gifted motivator for our youth and church family. The defining turning point of his life is depicted on the silver screen in the Warner Brothers’ movie “We Are Marshall” released in 2006. It is the true story about hope and the will to overcome life’s tragedies.

The mission of Center for Family Life, Inc., Developmental Learning Center is to develop the individual child with spiritual strength, an adequate knowledge base, emotional and physical skills and intellectual strength empowering him/her with the ability to move with ease in quest of a quality education and productive life.
