Rev. J. Louis Dunn

Rev. J. Louis Dunn

J. "Louis" Dunn grew up in Meridian, MS. After attending Harris High School, he obtained his degree from Jackson State University in the field of sociology with an emphasis in drug and alcohol counseling. Rev. Dunn completed his Doctor of Theology degree in June 2006 at the Slidell Baptist Seminary.

Rev. Dunn was called to preach in 2001 and ordained on November 2, 2003. He believes that as Christians, we are called to Go! When we accepted Christ as Lord and Savior- we agree to follow His teachings and decrees. Before Christ ascended into Heaven, the last command He gave His disciples was to, “Go out into all the world and preach the gospel.” We are inspired and motivated by Scripture to do just that. His motto: Winning the Lost to Christ.

Rev. Dunn joined Cade Chapel in 1995 under Watch Care. He returned to Cade in January of 2015. His particular interests include prison ministry, pastoral crisis intervention, grief following trauma and emotional/spiritual care in disaster.

Rev. Dunn is married to Sis. M. "Francie" Dunn and they have five children (Sudrick, Tracey, Louis, Darius, and Jamara).
